Good morning again, James...
Post by James VahnNews to me. Hans Reiser, author of Red Hat's "Reiserfs" filesystem jailed
for murdering his wife last month?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hans_Reiser
sheesh.
Incredibly, I first heard about Reiser's arrest from PBS of all things,
and then read some of the more salacious details from the Contra Costa
Times, since access into the San Francisco Chronicle has been getting
somewhat difficult lately. Then I called an old friend of mine who
ironically lives on Skyline Boulevard, which is right down the street from
Reiser's residence. He did not know much more than what was going on,
other than the police had closed off the street in his neighborhood.
By then, Reiser had been arrested and is sitting in Santa Rita Jail near
Dublin, California without bond. He is going to be in court November 28th,
and then we will see what the police have in the way of evidence. Right
now, based upon the rumors and leaks coming out of the PD, it would seem
that his days as a programmer are probably over.
Of course, having experimented on several occasions with Reiser FS, I
still think, despite what happens to Reiser, that it should be completed
and included with the kernel. <sigh> It WAS showing such promise!
